Director Donnie Knight, Assistant Ray
Mansfield and Secretary Jan Prescott staff the Randolph County EMA.
Their primary job is preparedness, response and recovery for the
citizens of Randolph County,
Alabama. Coordinate the efforts of all state,
county, and municipal agencies and departments in developing a statewide
emergency management system, which includes NIMS Compliance, warning
operations.

Director Donnie Knight is also the Homeland Security Point of Contact
for Randolph
County. The EMA is
responsible for all Homeland Security equipment in our county. Mobile
Command Vehicle, Light Units, Generators, Hazmat Truck and Trailer, and
many other pieces of Equipment.
The central point of coordination of all
major emergency operations for Randolph County citizens is the
Randolph
County
Emergency
Emergency
Operations
Center, Basement of 911 Center, located
in Wedowee, Alabama.
The Randolph County
EMA
has several dedicated volunteers that assist during regular times, but
are most dependable during an emergency situation.

The EMA Assist all first responders in
the County in many situations.
The Randolph County
EMA
is responsible for the Outdoor Warning Siren system and the warning of
severe weather for all citizens in our County.

Randolph County Ham Radio Coordinator,
Dave Clark assists in Severe Weather situations as well as many other
operation in the County.
Randolph County Hazmat Commander, Tony
Richardson heads up the Hazmat Team with many Hazmat team members made
up from the Randolph County Volunteer Fire Association.
Other Volunteers that make up the EMA
Staff are Danny Joe McCord, Bill Merritt, Joyce Sledge Knight, Jim Vice
and Clyde
Avery.
Alabama State Coordinator Ricky Little, assists the Randolph
County
EMA in Major situations
that occur within our county.

The Randolph County EOC (Emergency Operation Center)
is set up to handle all situations which includes the ESF`S (Essential
Support Functions) for all agencies.

Donnie Knight, ALEM (Advanced Level
Emergency Manager) is also the Flood Plain Mgr. and has on record in the
EMA office all Flood Plain Material.
